I Remember watching the 2003 NBA Draft Lottery, and thinking whichever team gets the #1 pick will be one lucky team. This team will get one of the best players to ever play the game. Now in 2009 I am thinking Which ever team gets the #1 Overall pick in the 2011 draft will be one lucky team, because who ever gets this pick will get one of the best players to ever play the game.
Bryce Harper.
During the International Power Showcase High School Home Run Derby at St. Petersburg's Tropicana Field, Harper went insane with power. Within 60 Seconds, he hit 6 phenominal Home Runs.
1st HR, 460 Feet into Right Field.
2nd HR, 484 Feet to the Back Wall of the Stadium.
3rd HR, 485 Feet to the Back Wall of the Stadium.
4th HR, 405 Feet Around the Right Field Pole.
5th HR, 502 Feet to the Back Wall fo the Stadium.
6th HR, 477 Feet to Right-Center Field.
This is an average of 469 Feet. This is great.
He did not end up winning the International Power Shocase High School Home Run Derby, but you also have to remember he is only a sophomore in High School, and he has a lot to learn. But these next two years in High School are keys to his success of making the MLB. I am sure, that form the second he is drafted, he will make an impact with any MLB Team.
