There are many people saying that Courtney Lee Blew the game last night by missing the shot with 0.6 Seconds left.
Did he actually blow it?
No, and I say this because that was a pretty difficult shot. Going as fast as he could and trying to lay in a lay-up from pretty much behind the basket is a pretty hard shot. Especially with how much pressure was on him, and the fact that he was a rookie makes it even harder. Otherwise I thought the play drawn up by Stan Van Gundy was Genius. The Lakers were expecting the ball to go to one of the three main guys on the Magic, Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, and Hedo Turkoglu, all who have hit big shots these playoffs. But to give it to a guy who had 2 points through 4 quarters, and was having trouble shooting was genius, because you would NEVER expect him to get the ball. This is the great thing about the Magic, they always have someone who can do something with the ball.
But if you want to say Courtney Lee blew the game, then don't use the buzzer shot as an example, use the finger roll that he botched with about 1:30 Left in the 4th quarter. He was going inside against a Laker Defender, and hit the ball against the back rim.
The real reason the Magic Lost was because they wasted everyone fastbreak they got, and that is this teams weakness. Rafar Alston would run down the Court 4-2. Instead of trying to get the easy Dunk or Lay-up, they decide to try and get a three ball, and this let's the Lakers get back on defense to try and defend the 3.

Yes he did, Thanks to Mr. Gasol, he altered his shot and bam, Overtime and the Lakers take it! And go up 2-0
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a great overtime by Gasol, I give him the credit for the Victory. But no Offense, I am rooting for the Magic to win this series, but I know the Lakers will win one in Orlando. It should get more exciting after that Great Game 2. Thanks for the Input!
